Ooh, you don't see many indie Benriach bottlings, do you? This one comes from Duncan Taylor's Octave range, and features 6 year old peated Benriach single malt, finished in an octave cask for 3 months before bottling. A release of just 63 bottles.
Gristy and sweet, with a touch of chocolate and meaty oak to it.
A good balance of barley sugar, raisin and wood-y smoke.
Peppery malt and ash notes linger.
