This single malt from Ben Nevis joins The Decanter Collection from independent bottler Signatory. Distilled in 2014, the whisky spent nine years maturing in a selection of second-fill oloroso sherry butts and comes housed in a smart decanter-style bottle.
sv decanter series normally represents some good stuff, but this has been put into a fancy decanter which is much better than the liquid, quite a fancy bottle and not as good dram.
Barley forward, pretty simple profile and tastes even younger than its 9 years. The cask hasn't done much. Needed a new cask and a few more years.
