The bottled in bond edition of Very Old Barton bourbon, presented at 50% ABV (other strength variations bottled at 40%, 43% and 45% are available too - a whole swathe of Bartons!).
Rich butterscotch and dried fruit. The additional ABV brings out slight hints of orange oil and rye spice.
Toasted oak, burnt sugar, buttered corn-on-the-cob, a touch of thyme.
Another crackle of rye warmth, with caramel underneath.
