All the way back in 1792, Kentucky officially became a state. Many moons later, 1792 Small Batch bourbon was named after that very same year. As it happens, it's a Kentucky straight bourbon whiskey. Coincidence? We think not. This expression features mashbill with a generous helping of rye, resulting in a flavour profile packed with herbal spice alongside the classic caramelised sugar, buttered corn and toasted oak notes you find in top-notch bourbons. Great for sipping over a couple ice cubes on a sunny evening.
Buttery warmth up front, followed by black pepper and Sesame Snaps. Soft smoky hints of charred oak and cinnamon.
Runny caramel, clove, cardamom, corn grilled on a BBQ, peanut brittle and spicy rye.
A little hint of cinnamon and citrus on the finish.
I have read many reviews of this Bourbon and can not understand such low numbers. I have tried Larceny, Buffalo Trace, and a bunch of other mid-range Bourbons, throw in a few so-called high end brands, and non- are as well balanced and full of flavor as 1792. I drink it with an ice cube and a splash of water. I can pick up a 1.75 L for $50+tax. This bourbon is the bomb and the price point is great.
Nice for the price. Easy to drink. Fairly smooth with a good nose. For $22, I would say it is a good value. You certainly wouldn't be sorry that you purchased it. Not quite as good as the 9-10 year old Evan Williams Single Barrel or WL Weller, but good.
Love this bourbon! One of my first pics as a new whiskey drinker....I couldn't have picked a better one?

This is my go to bourbon. The flavor is fantastic for a $30 bottle. (I'm not sure where our other friend from NY is buying his liquor. It's 29 in my NY neighborhood ) The sweet notes make this great to sip at the end of the day.
