All the way back in 1792, Kentucky officially became a state. Many moons later, 1792 Small Batch bourbon was named after that very same year. As it happens, it's a Kentucky straight bourbon whiskey. Coincidence? We think not. This expression features mashbill with a generous helping of rye, resulting in a flavour profile packed with herbal spice alongside the classic caramelised sugar, buttered corn and toasted oak notes you find in top-notch bourbons. Great for sipping over a couple ice cubes on a sunny evening.
Buttery warmth up front, followed by black pepper and Sesame Snaps. Soft smoky hints of charred oak and cinnamon.
Runny caramel, clove, cardamom, corn grilled on a BBQ, peanut brittle and spicy rye.
A little hint of cinnamon and citrus on the finish.
Spicy notes, smooth to palate & great aftertaste. Definitely, a superbe choice. Do not think it twice wherever you find it... just grab it. Cheers!
2nd one out of the advent calendar. Strong flavour, long finish. Very nice. Would buy.
Nose - 4/5 - Warms the nose, makes you want to have a sip. Taste - 2/5 - Once I had a sip, I found it to have an almost astringent flavor. Sort of off putting. Will not buy another bottle.
Excellent taste and very smooth. Definitely a must try.
Superior to others I've tasted in the same class. Deserves a better rating, and certainly deserves to be ranked higher than Jefferson. Smooth, velvety, dangerous in its soft mouth feel. Beautiful and delicious.
