Single Malt

Bårelegs

A single malt from an undisclosed Islay distillery, selected by The Islay Boys. You may remember The Islay Boys as the folks behind the Flatnöse whiskies, named after Ketill Björnsson (his nickname was Flatnöse). Well, it seems that this particular expression from their range was named after Magnus Bårelegs!

This is a fine dram with all of the noted character of Islay expressions: peated, smokey, brine, dried fruit sweetness, minty, applewood and hints of white pepper. Hard to find but when you do it is a treasure chest experience.
Very nice peaty malt. Doubling down - very nice peaty malt.
Absolutely the greatest whisky ever. Nice peat, iodine, tarry rope, vanilla, hint of lemon. Superb aftertaste. With a bottle of this whisky the rest seems a waste of time and money. Beats Ardbeg, Laphroaig, Peat's beast etc.
Non chill filtered.....46%.....excellent dram. Needs time in the bottle to open up. Superb stuff
