Balvenie Tun 1509 - Batch 4
Balvenie's very popular Tun 1509 range has reached its fourth batch! Released in mid-2017, this expression was made drawn from a combination of 13 first-fill American oak barrels and 10 Sherry butts. The whisky was all allowed to marry in the eponymous Tun 1509 under the watchful eye of Balvenie Malt Master David Stewart.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Spiced fruit chutney, caramelised apple, sponge cake with honey.
Palate
Oat biscuits with a drizzle of melted dark chocolate, black pepper, herbaceous oak and buttery shortcrust pastry.
Finish
Ginger snaps, Maltesers, fried dough and new leather.
