Balvenie married a trio of wood types for this 17 Year Old release. This was the very first bottling of the New Oak expression, taking liquid that was matured in both bourbon and sherry casks, and vatting it together in new American oak. Hence the name. Bottled up at 43% ABV, it's a honeyed, fruity affair.
Please Note! There is a slight dent on the base of the tube, but the liquid inside the bottle remains unharmed.
This bottle was part of a private collection - if you'd like more detailed photos just get in touch!
A rich vanilla oakiness with gentle spice and subtle honey notes on the nose.
Rich layering of oaky vanilla, dried fruits (apricot and dates) with a spicy character.
The characteristic Balvenie honey sweetness comes through - soft, warm and lingering.
