Balmenach 12 Year Old 2006 (cask 12801) - Old Particular (Douglas Laing)

Part of Douglas Laing's Old Particular range - a series of hand-selected aged single cask malt and grain whiskies from all over Scotland. This single malt from Speyside distillery Balmenach was distilled in September 2006 and, after 12 years in a refill hogshead, bottled in September 2018. It was bottled without colouring or chill-filtration, and only 365 bottles were produced.

Nose

Palate

Luxurious creamy orange chocolate with a drizzle of runny honey.

Finish

Toasted cereals followed by a host of puddings, with madeira cake and lemon drizzle.
