Whisky and dogs. Two things that are guaranteed to grab our attention. Plus, it turns out we've got a master of dog drawing in our midst, Cal. A master of drawing dogs badly, that is. Maybe he can actually draw dogs well if asked, but that wasn't the brief here. We adopted this single malt from the whisky kennels. We know it's an English breed and eight years old, but they weren't able to give us its exact origin. We let it settle into MoM Towers – giving it a bed to finish in, a cask that previously held Islay single malt whisky, then filled it into a batch of puppy-sized 350ml bottles, adorned with Cal's doodle of a business dog (named Bix) for our own Badly Drawn Dogs collection. Ahhh business. You know it's serious when there are top hats and monocles involved.
Buy a bottle and we’ll donate to Battersea Dogs & Cats Home and Dogs Trust. Good whisky. Good cause.
Chewy toffee and the burnt edges of a rich, dark fruit cake, runny honey, dandelion and burdock, with distant hints of smoked tea.
Chocolate-coated nuts and rich caramel join a touch of sweet, gently smoky barbecue sauce, a touch of smoked hickory, and some peppercorn heat.
Jammy berries, dark ale, just a hint of peat smoke, with woody spice, cracked pepper, and oak char.
