A tasty single malt distilled at Aultmore in 2005 before it was laid to rest in a refill bourbon barrel for 13 years. February 2019 came around and it was bottled by Gordon & MacPhail for the Connoisseurs Choice series. The barrel yielded 256 bottles at cask strength, 55.5% ABV.
Rich, smooth lemon curd, sharper lemon juice and vanilla ice cream, with sweet malt.
Spicy oak and white pepper, vanilla crème brûlée and key lime pie with sharper citrus and a light, fresh menthol note.
Lemon tart and oak char linger.
