12 year old single malt Scotch whisky from Aultmore, a marvellous distillery in the prolific Speyside region. It was distilled in 2009 and eventually drawn from a virgin oak hogshead in 2021, with 400 bottles produced. Yet another excellent indie bottling from Douglas Laing's Old Particular range.

Nose

Fried banana, buttery malt, a hint of maple syrup.

Palate

More maple syrup, now with a smidge of new oak heat to it.

Finish

Toasted sugar, anise, pencil shavings.
