Awesome Auchroisk single malt, independently bottled by the gang at Signatory. Distilled in March 1996, the whisky was initially matured in hogshead casks, before being transferred to a single fresh sherry butt for a generous 57 month finishing period! In January 2022, the whisky was finally deemed ready for bottling, and the cask was cracked open, releasing a total of 684 bottles for Signatory's Cask Strength Collection.
Spiced pastries with whiffs of cinnamon and brown sugar are followed by zesty orange peels and wood shavings.
The citrus and spice keep on coming, candied orange leads, with boozy sultanas and baking spice in tow, while warming liquorice and earthy malt build at the core.
Prickles of pepper and warming ginger, candied nuts and marmalade linger.
