Auchroisk 24 Year Old 1994 - Old Malt Cask (Hunter Laing)
A 24 year old Auchroisk, distilled back in February 1994 and left to mature until August 2018. Following that, Hunter Laing bottled it up for the long-running Old Malt Cask range. In fact, this one was released as part of a celebration for Old Malt Cask's 20th anniversary! Just 282 bottles were produced.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Freshly saw pine, nutty barley and touches of cinnamon.
Palate
Grassy as it opens, but soon enough notes of green apple and honey arrive. Quite nutty later on.
Finish
Enjoyably savoury with oak, new leather and walnut.
