Duncan Taylor
Scotland
Single Malt

This was distilled in 1988 at the Auchroisk distillery. It was aged in a very small "octave cask", which was made entirely without sherry wood (cask 770686). The result is a very unusual, rich whisky, with an outturn of 73 bottles, bottled by Duncan Taylor.
Floral and fresh with notes of cantaloupe melon, pepper, spices, apricot and a touch of malt.
Soft and fruity with more of those melon notes. It's similar to the aroma of the fruit aisle in a French supermarket, with honeyed sweetness and notes of vanilla.
Good length with apple peels, fresh flowers and malt.
