Arran
Scotland
Single Malt
Officially launched in 2006, this 10 year old lies at the heart of the Isle of Arran range and exudes all the honeyed richness we have come to associate with the island distillery.
Herbal, biscuity, hedgerow greenness and dried grass, like a long English summer's afternoon.
Sweet. Quite malty, digestive biscuits, followed by green fruits and Cox's apple peel.
Slightly bitter, maltiness.
£6.65 - £54.99
I bought this alongside several other well-reputed whiskies. This wasn’t the most expensive, but it’s easily my favourite. Has a light youthful fiery flavour. I just love drinking it.
I usually go for peated Islay types but tried this after it won the OSWA award. An absolutely lovely whisky. Not overly complex, but very well balanced with honey flavours. I have returned for more and it’s now a staple in my selection.
Sweet nectar. One of my favourite whiskies. Honeyed and delicious. Very moreish!
The alcohol tends to dominate and obscure a lot of the flavour. But I did get barley sugar and citrus. I didn't like it much at first. Enjoyed it more later. Overall reasonably enjoyable, but far from a favourite
Arran 10 unchilfilterd, natural colour You won't get a better integrity whisky this age for this price. Citrus, cinnamon every collection or stash should have a bottle of this.
