Hunter Laing
Distilled at Ardmore in 2008, this single malt enjoyed the next 14 years maturing in a refill barrel. The cask was opened by Hunter Laing in 2023, releasing 293 bottles for the independent Hepburn's Choice collection. Non-chillfiltered, naturally coloured and bottled at 46% ABV.
Gentle wafts of heathery smoke and toasted malt, with honeycomb, lemon zest, and a touch of vanilla fudge.
Soft peat mingles with creamy toffee, poached pear, and malty biscuits, balanced by light pepper spice and citrus peel.
Medium length, with lingering sweet smoke, oatcake, and a hint of herbal dryness.
