    Annandale Man O’Sword 2014 (Cask 102)

The Annandale distillery in the Lowlands has released its first whisky! In fact, the distillery released two of them - one peated and one unpeated (Man O'Words). Man O'Sword is the peated variation, and it's been matured in Buffalo Trace barrels before being bottled at a very generous 61.6% ABV.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

    Nose

Quiet on the smoke front at first, more sooty than anything. But then it comes through later on! There’s also salt dough, caramel, fresh apple, oaky pencil sharpenings, petrichor, pecan sweetness and walnut creaminess.

    Palate

Cinnamon spice, pineapple, a clean, almost gentle smoke, cashews, apple, more rhubarb and rich custard.

    Finish

This is where the smoke lingers along with that earthy rhubarb quality.

    A stunner

Absolutely stunning whisky. Probably the finest I've tasted in recent years.

    Beautiful!

Tried this and the Man O'Words at a Whisky festival in Edinburgh in 2018 - this one was definitely my favourite out of all whiskies I tried that day, if not ever! Proud owner of a bottle of this too

A whisky range to try. Possibly one of the best whiskies l've tried

Recently visited the distillery and had the pleasure of tasting their premium whisky. It might be young but never have l been more surprised at just how beautiful these 2 whiskies were. Try before you pass judgement. I think you'll be surprised. I was and bought a bottle of each. Incidentally the distillery tour, cafe and loos are probably the best l've experienced.

    Gold star

The best whiskey I ever drank

    You've got to be joking.

Jesus. £300 for a 3 year old. That's beyond ridiculous and I hope no one buys it.
