    Heaven

Single malt at its best. I have tried many whiskey's and by far this is the best. The first time I had heard about it, I was laughing at the idea of an Indian scotch, thinking foreign liquour would be anyday better, but only when I actually had a sip, did I fall in love with it so bad, that no other whiskey would then do.. The moment you open the cork and sniff inside, you feel happiness and after you've had a sip trust me its true true Heaven!!

    Disappointing

I'm a MASSIVE fan of the Amrut Fusion and the now (sadly) unavailable Kad'Ham'Bam, so much so that I would say that they are both in my top 10 whiskies of all time. This, however, is nowhere near the same level of complexity or quality. On the nose, there is tropical fruit and an almost biscuity maltiness but on the palate, it is nowhere near as interesting. Stone fruit and generic sweetness. It's the aftertaste which gets me though - it's an unpleasant, sour, lingering finish which absolutely ruins an already unremarkable whisky. I'm not sure if Jim Murray had a particularly legendary batch of this but I just cannot see why he scored it so highly. Avoid.

    A real beauty

Don't listen to the negative reviews here they don't understand whisky, this is a real treat for the money, fair enough it's not your standard malt but amrut is not like that it pushes you with complexity, depth and power , just get the water balance right and your in heaven, well done amrut ?

    Pleasant suprise

Had some of this in a tasting set I got.. if I'm being honest (and naive) I wasn't expecting too much. It stands up any of the usual standard 10yr old expressions I've had. The best, no, not by a distance but more than good enough to make me think that getting hold of some more Amrut's will be really interesting
