This is a 12 year old, single cask Aberlour from Douglas Laing's Old Malt Cask range. It was distilled in June 2000 before a refill hogshead maturation. It was then bottled in January 2013 and there are just 312 bottles available.
Gristy, sweet malt on the nose with a touch of acacia honey and caramel.
Mixed peels, honey and cooked fruit. Beeswax and barley sugar develop.
Cantaloupe melon and cough lozenges.
