Matured in a combination of ex-bourbon and sherry casks, this is an older bottling of 10-year-old single malt from Aberlour. A perennial favourite, typical of the modern Speyside style and thoroughly approachable. Such is its popularity that this bottling has been exported to over fifty countries.

Sweet and full. Sherried raisins, hints of toffee and a pleasant nuttiness.
Quite full-bodied, spicy rich fruitcake, toffee notes and a creamy malty-feel and the vaguest whisper of something akin to synthetic banana.
Caramel and honey, the malt still evident and the sweet spices still linger.
Lovely and rich.

Very good value, not the best whiskey in the world and if you go in with that in mind, you'll love it. Extremely smooth, clean, and warm. I like the 10 as much as the 12 frankly, both are in the same "affordable quality" range of whiskeys. The 10 is my current favourite day to day drinking whiskey.
My favourite. To me tho it tastes initially of a smokey vanilla followed by spicy undertones and then a cheeky hint of strawberry. Really easy to drink tho. If you can't taste the strawberry, take a little bit longer between sips!
I generally prefer the Islays and only bought this because of the price. I wasn't expecting much but I was surprised. Its got a great nose and even though its strong tasting it has very little burn, but just enough that you know you are drinking something serious. It goes down very smooth and silky on the throat. This is as good as most whiskys in the £30+ range. A real bargain.
tasty n marvelous
Have tried a few Aberlours and have to say that the 10 yo is by far the best value of the ones I've tried. Not quite as flavourful as the 12, and is a wee bit'fresh'; but a touch of water and a wee rest really softens and opens it up. Toffee, caramelly malt with a lovely sherry nose. Genuine bargain if purchased when on offer!
