Matured in a combination of ex-bourbon and sherry casks, this is an older bottling of 10-year-old single malt from Aberlour. A perennial favourite, typical of the modern Speyside style and thoroughly approachable. Such is its popularity that this bottling has been exported to over fifty countries.

Sweet and full. Sherried raisins, hints of toffee and a pleasant nuttiness.
Quite full-bodied, spicy rich fruitcake, toffee notes and a creamy malty-feel and the vaguest whisper of something akin to synthetic banana.
Caramel and honey, the malt still evident and the sweet spices still linger.
Lovely and rich.
Relatively new to whisky so take my comments with a pinch of salt. Not a bad one by any means but there are better at the price point. Lots of a sherry on the nose, sweet, reminds me of Christmas time desserts. The scents become harder to detect after a while though and the smell becomes a little bland. It's nice enough on the palate but again it's a little bland in my honest opinion. If you can get a bottle at around the £20 mark I woukd recommend as an easy drinker, worth a try.
Great value, satisfying Scotch, interesting and very drinkable. Comparable to pricier bottles from elsewhere. Nothing super interesting going on here, you'll not be talking about it in detail with Scotch club. It's just an old pro, singing their greatest hits.
Good sipping whiskey
