Reyka is an Icelandic vodka, distilled from wheat and barley. It is also the world's first "green" vodka, it being made from glacial water and distilled using sustainable energy from geothermal heat.
An enjoyably full, rounded mouth feel carries soft notes of vanilla, lemon and earthy pepper.
I usally don't drink vodka, I'm more into whisky.. but I buy smirnoff and finlandia once in a while, but decided to give this a try yesterday and the bottle is near empty. It's very good, tops all other vodka's I've tried as far as I can remember. It is smooth, but ofc you can find a little bit of bite.. But man, it's good. Cheers from Iceland <3
I wanted a high quality Vodka from a small producer from somewhere a bit different than the norm. It has a great backstory, being made from glacial water and heated with natural geothermal energy. I’ve only drank it cold and neat, not in a mixer. An enjoyable mouthfeel, and quite moorish.
Fantastic! after drinking cheap vodka as a teenager usually to get drunk fast, I like many, never enjoyed vodka. On a whim I bought a bottle of this, after not touching vodka for some 20+ years, mainly because I liked the bottle! Where it sat on the shelf for some 6 months. One night I ran out of southern comfort, my normal go to and decided to open the Reyka. This vodka is crisp and smooth, I’m totally converted, kept in the fridge drunk neat with maybe some ice, it’s a total revelation, almost as smooth as water!
I'm not normally a huge fan of vodka, but this one is phenomenal, somehow manages to taste beautifully smooth. Seriously recommended.
I just started drinking Reyka Vodka over the last couple of months! This vodka is amazing, much better than Tito's and Grey Goose. The whole idea of a premium vodka is that you want some taste, not no taste. Reyka hit's all of the marks, outstanding!
