Vermò is the brainchild of two friends, an Italian and a Spaniard, thought up in the city of Barcelona. They wanted to bring this historic tipple into present day with a modern look, and so, Vermò was born! It contains 30 botanicals and is produced in Turin, at the historic Canellese distillery. A classic spirit that can easily be enjoyed on the rocks with a twist of orange peel, or as a component to any classic cocktail.
Fragrant and fresh lemon, orange and ginger, with a good spicy note and a herbaceous undertone of mint and coriander, with a satisfyingly bitter finish.
I'm a big fan of Torino vermouths. I think I've tried all of the Cocchi ones - the best of which is the sublime Barolo Chinato - and enjoyed many a bottle of Carpano Antica. This I found underwhelming. The orange is tooo dominant, in my view, though it does with passably well in some cocktails. There are far better vermouths for the price
Medium bodied and less sweet compared with other vermouths which I tend to find too sugary. Works great in a Negroni or Manhattan, but I absolutely love it with tonic as a refreshing drink after work. A regular in my home bar!
Wow the reviews for this are distinctly postive. I however was underwhelmed. True, there is a pleasant lack of sweetness, but in all other respects I found this disappointing, especially given the price. To me it has a slight somewhat watery mouthfeel, a certain blandness through its restrictive palate of taste and complexity. In short too much like an alco-pop!
Absolutely tremendous product. Weather you drink it on the rocks with a slice of Orange and a couple of Olives, or blend it in to your favorite cocktails (Negroni or Americano for me) this drink is absolutely fantastic. 10/10 recommend. I replaced all the Martini, Yzaguirre and other Vermouths from my bar with VER•MO
I am very surprised with this Vermouth. Its taste and flavour clearly outstands from any other vermut brand that I have tasted. Shame that I can't find it in the supermarket near my house. Congratulations for this masterpiece ;)
