
A classically-styled dry vermouth from Germany, this Belsazar Dry Vermouth is made with wines from the South Baden region, combined with fruit brandies from Schladerer and a selection of herbs, including wormwood. Sweet top-notes of apricot and plum, followed by plenty of traditional bitter notes of wormwood and cinchona lasting on the finish. Sure to be a great cocktail ingredient.

Everyone to their own taste, of course, but I found this actively nasty. A cloying faux-peach note predominates. An impulse buy in Godalming Sainsbury's, and an addition to my very very short list of drinks not to try again.
