This añejo Tequila was made with blue agave, using the Fabrica de Tequilas method of cooking the piña with steam in autoclaves for 10 hours. A special yeast is added to the agave juices prior to fermentation, before Rooster Rojo anejo is double pot distilled in stainless steel pot stills and aged in oak. Water filtered through Mexican silver is finally added to blend the product down to 38% ABV.
Vanilla fudge and coffee rise through well-roasted agave and fragrant tobacco. A little milk chocolate lingers below.
In a rich and creamy mouth feel comes mixed peels, honey-dipped apricot and dark chocolate. Earthy, toasty agave and a little wood spice are present throughout.
Waves of brown sugar arrive on the finish.
As it says in the title this is a great tequila and is under £30. I like the Reposada better but this is still worth a try
i think the price point and the quality make this a very accessible tequila. it’s so tasty i thought for sure it had additives (sweeteners artificial oak etc etc) all MY research says it’s just a damn fine tequila. no BS
My second review. The flavour is top quality , on getting through the bottle which is great value for money there is rather of a burn on the finish but look at the price !
This is delicious neat, and a super buy at this price. I am surprised at the quality of some of the tequilas that are available from Master of malt at around £30/35 including postage. This has subtle flavours unlike Vivir which tastes too strongly of vanilla for my liking, also very much cheaper.
That is something what everybody will like. So nice so smooth.
