A reposado refers to a lightly aged Tequila that spends no less than two months and no more than one year in oak. This example from El Tequileño is aged for 8 months in American oak, then blended with a small amount of Añejo aged in American oak. Try on the rocks or in a Tequila Old Fashioned.
Banana and caramelised pear on the nose, interlaced with nutmeg, vanilla and caramel. Light oak, spice and toffee on the palate.

A good all-round Reposado, for the price (Feb ‘25) can’t be faulted. A handy tequila for any fan’s cupboard!
