An 18 month aged tequila from Don Julio. This is aged in American white oak barrels and the result is a citrussy, fruity tequila.

It’s a power brand driven by the mighty Diageo and this anejo expression is a crowd pleaser- sweet and smooth. But at this price point it is so very average folks, for a third less you could buy a bottle of Calle 23 anejo and go to a different level. Similarly Tapatio anejo is a real joy, whilst this has no real stand our feature at all !
This is what the president of Mexico drinks. Very smooth with a similarity to a rich aged brandy. Not as much agave character as their blanco, but with a full flavor that's very pleasant.
It was a Christmas gift that I am sipping right now, It is so smooth & flavorful that no need for lime.
