Butterscotch is one of our favourite things. It is made with brown sugar and butter, and is not actually from Scotland. The Scotch part could mean "to cut or score", a reference to cutting up the toffee before eating. Alternatively it may be from the word "scorch" - a reference to the cooking down the butter and sugar. Monin have captured the essence perfectly in this syrup - just delicious.
