A concentrated tonic syrup, created by Nick Crispini from London gin bar 214 Bermondsey and fellow gin lover Lawrence Mason. Bermondsey Tonic Syrup is made to be mixed with carbonated water, allowing you to make a tonic water to your own tastes. It can also be used in cocktails to impart a daring kick of cinchona bark bitterness.

I fear this is one of the least pleasant taste experiences I can recall for a long time. It's a wierd one but not in a good way. Imagine boiling up one of those Bronze Age bog bodies and decanting the resulting broth into smart little black bottles. Leathery and foul. How deeply do I regret forking out more than £20 for something that's destined for the plughole.

Seriously delicious in a G&T - great to have fun with as well. Have tried some cocktails with it and also MULLED GIN! So good....
Have tried a number of tonic syrups & to my taste none of them are particularly Tonic tasting. Some are really lemony & others are super herbaceous. BTW however is delicious, a really nice bitter sweet balance with a very clean, earthy flavour. Great on its own, in a G&T or even in cocktails!
Concentrated tonic - basically you mix it to your taste with fizzy water! Really opens up the Gin. It says on the bottle mix 1 part to 6 parts water but i like a stronger mix.
