A rounded, medium bodied spiced spirit drink (to be classified as a rum, it needs to be 37.5% abv) known the world over. Captain Morgan's Spiced is great value for money, and needs little introduction.

Allspice and vanilla. Huge cinnamon notes, freshly grated nutmeg, black pepper and rich Black Forest Honey.
Demerara sugar, smoky molasses and a big whack of cloves, nutmeg and sweet cinnamon.
Medium-length with sweet spices.
Ive been drinking this since it came on to the market alas i bought a mew ltr bot and the flavour has changed more of a coffee note
I am going to have to disagree with every one here! It is the exact same liquid. I have no affiliation with the producers but I know for a fact it is the same. not changed liquid, not 'watered down' and actually not more expensive.. well other than the price of inflation which is where every brand and every consumer product gets more expensive. I cant disclose why I know this but trust me...It is the same stuff. oh...and I dont even drink it. Im a single malt drinker
Ive drank morgans spiced for years & there is something no right with the taste in the new bottles renamed captain morgans even though the taste is meant to be the same! Its definitely no the same taste & tastes like its watered down. Disappointed, will have to find a new spirit to drink.
There is no comparison between the Original and what is now being offered. No spice, no taste and no pleasure at all in the spiced gold. How can they get away with calling it "Original Spiced Gold?" It is cheap and nasty in comparison. I used to buy a couple of bottles per month have not bought one since l threw away the fist bottle of tge nasty stuff. Only had 4 measures out of it. NASTY NASTY
well this capt Morgan's spiced gold IS NOT the same it's nowhere near as smooth or nice tasting as Morgan's spiced. Last bottle I will buy.
