A rounded, medium bodied spiced spirit drink (to be classified as a rum, it needs to be 37.5% abv) known the world over. Captain Morgan's Spiced is great value for money, and needs little introduction.

Allspice and vanilla. Huge cinnamon notes, freshly grated nutmeg, black pepper and rich Black Forest Honey.
Demerara sugar, smoky molasses and a big whack of cloves, nutmeg and sweet cinnamon.
Medium-length with sweet spices.
I have been drinking Morgan's spice for many years the main reason being it seemed to agree with me where other spirits don't and I never got a hangover. Since the change over to captain Morgan's I take a headache after only 1 drink and find it does not taste the same. Sorry to say I will not be drinking it again unless it changes back.
Over priced
Whoever says that spiced gold and what everyone that has ever drank morgans spiced rum that has a (blue top) is talking rubbish as spiced gold has no vanilla in it and is way too sharp it's more like something a hardened alcoholic would drink rather than a nice rounded tipple that everyone I know liked bring back our original
I too have been a fan of the original spiced rum for many years and was assured that the Gold was the same. Alas, having been at a friends house who had the original and having a dram of it followed by a dram from my bottle, the two are definately not the same. Please bring back the original spiced rum as I certainly won't be buying the Gold again.
after drinking morgan spiced for a few year spiced gold is definitley not the same and i will have to look for a new drink please bring back the old one as myself and 3 friends normaly drink this and all feel the same
