As some of your reviews have highlighted, Morgan spiced was a beautiful drink, captain Morgan on the other hand is different nowhere near as nice and boy does it make me violently ill
Been drinking Spiced Gold for many years. Recipe has definitely changed. Tastes lousy and have stopped buying!
Nowhere near as good as original spice rum. I thought maybe it was just me so I’ve tried it a few times on different occasions but I don’t like the taste. Totally different and in a bad way.
I drank Morgans Spiced for years. Really struggled when it was launched as not everyone stocked it. Over the years found my Morgan's Spiced everywhere. You then rebrand it, and say the recipe hasn't changed. I am not a hardened drinker, but please don't say it is the same. It is not the same, and I now get hangovers from hell. Why change something that wasn't broken. Listen to your public not your sales promoters.
I am SO angry about what has happened to dear old Captain Morgan. The recipe that I experienced in the past years has been destroyed. After a bunch o' months, I gave in to temptation and bought some of this, so as to enhance the party atmosphere of an assignation. Boy gee whiz!. I couldnae believe it when the shit tasted like shit and smelled like shit. Gone was the perfumed aroma of old; in it's place a crappy scent o' rubbin' alcohol, as attested by another reviewer. Mixed with ginger beer, as of old, this shit be tasting o' shit - entirely unlike the last time when the velvety taste reminded one of all that is naughty and delicious. It appears that the recipe of old has been replaced by a crappy, shitty piece o' shit recipe that is presumably based around cost-cutting. Anyone who has experienced captain morgan in the past and continues to patronise this brand is in need of psychological examination. Because if you are of sound mind, and you have a sense o what spiced gold tasted like, you will readily acknowledge that the present offering is a shitty piece o' shit. Tonight we had about a 1/3 of a bottle, as you might surmise from my wit, and I have just now thrown the rest down the drain. Why did I do this? Because the classic recipe has been replaced by a shitty piece o' shit. DO NOT BUY.
