A rounded, medium bodied spiced spirit drink (to be classified as a rum, it needs to be 37.5% abv) known the world over. Captain Morgan's Spiced is great value for money, and needs little introduction.
Please note: You may receive one of the limited edition Captain Morgan bottles, each featuring a different name on the label: Captain Drama, Captain Banter, Captain Comedy, Captain Retro, Captain Genius, Captain Clueless and Captain Karaoke. We cannot guarantee which one of these labels you will receive
Allspice and vanilla. Huge cinnamon notes, freshly grated nutmeg, black pepper and rich Black Forest Honey.
Demerara sugar, smoky molasses and a big whack of cloves, nutmeg and sweet cinnamon.
Medium-length with sweet spices.
super tasty
Awful rum, gone are the days where this was one of the best out there. Do not buy. Stay away. That might send a message to go back to the old recipe which was amazing.
In trying to get a decent rum collection together i bought this for nostalgic reasons, i remember it being not good but OK. This "New" bottle, i am sorry but i really cannot drink it. Its a travesty, the only saving grace is that at 35% it cannot legally be called rum in the EU. I will not buy Captain Morgan ever again.
Dont know as i only enjoyed the original dark captain. For sure the taste and quality is totally destroyed. Shame on you. Gonna loose a lot of customers!!
I've been a dedicated fan of Captain Morgan since it's introduction in 84. Have ventured away a few times but always come back. I buy half gallon bottles to keep in my stock at home but this latest bottle has a distinct difference in taste and that's how I would up here, trying to determine if it is a recipe change or a one-off fluke. I taste a distinct hint of both nutmeg and clove. Am I wrong? What's the story here?
