The second batch of fantastically mysterious rum from Secret Distillery #3, independently bottled by That Boutique-y Rum Company! Though the name of the distillery remains a secret, we do know it's in Jamaica, and that it made this rum using pot stills. After distillation, it was left to age for 14 years, then bottled at cask strength, resulting in a powerfully flavoursome tipple that ought to be great on a hot summer evening.
Batch 2 is a release of 374 bottles.
Freshly cut sugar cane (a bit Rhum agricole-esque). This gives way to acetone, burnt sugar and green banana.
Very lively and peppery, with a refreshing lemongrass fragrance, and a bass note from ripe pineapple.
Cinnamon spice, limes and more than a hint of caramel.
Powerful but very fresh, this would be great in a long drink with soda and lime or even a Daiquiri!
