A 12 year old rum from Barbados-based estate, St Nicholas Abbey! Top stuff from a producer with a long history of rum production and a great reputation. Dig in.
This rum's dozen years of maturation has resulted in hearty oak spices (particularly white pepper and cinnamon), well balanced by runny caramel, honey and dried tropical fruit.
I bought this at rum fest in London 2010, all engraved for me , just opened it and it is an amazing soft delicate rum , just right for having while watching a good film.
A superb rum. Bought a bottle from the distillery on a trip for our 20th wedding anniversary in June. Such a distinctive flavour. Well worth the outlay. A sipper though, do not mix this wonderful beverage!
