Released as part of the History Collection from the Mauritius-based Saint Aubin distillery comes this bottle 2005 Grand Reserve Cuvée. The bottling commemorates 1715, the year of establishment of French rule over Isle de France for the French East India Company. Produced in 2005, the spirit sees a blend of two rums, one pot still and one column still, both produced from sugar cane. A little bit of history in a delicious bottle.
Toasted coconut, nectarine, pineapple, liquorice, lemon peel, chocolate coated caramel, espresso, vanilla pod and a woody finish.
