Sailor Jerry is a spiced rum created by the famed tattoo artist and sailor 'Sailor Jerry' Collins. This is perhaps our favourite spiced rum, it makes an incredible spiced mojito!
We know that some of you out there aren't so keen on the new Sailor Jerry recipe. You can correct the flavour of the new version very easily by adding some dark sugar and vanilla essence to the bottle and giving it a good shake - it really does work!
Vanilla spice, butter, oak, cinnamon, nutmeg and ground ginger. Drying and sweet on the palate with notes of winter spice and black pepper, toffee.
I understand the controversy around the recipe change because I loved the old and overly sweet original form, however we now have Admiral Vernon’s “Old J” to satisfy those needs (it’s great, to try it out) I do however find this most recent rendition has a better well rounded feel to it’s spicing, and as it’s not as sweet I prefer to sip, rather than mix this one. Alongside old Old J this is one of my top 3 spiced runs

Years ago this was amazing, they have changed the ingredient .... stick to OLD J now
