Rhum J.M VSOP
Rhum agricole from Martinique, made by renowned distillers Rhum J.M., whom grow their own sugar cane for their spirits. The VSOP is a tasty expression which is matured for three years in re-charred Bourbon barrels. Following this, it is finished in lightly toasted virgin American oak barrels for another year before it is bottled.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Butterscotch, vanilla and cinnamon. Plenty of oak notes.
Palate
Oily and sweet with a core of toasty oak notes. Subtle grassy notes, brown sugar and rich toffee.
Finish
Lingering hints of chocolate.
Overall
A good introduction to the sweet, grassy world of rhum agricole.
