Pusser's 'Gunpowder Proof' Black Label (previously known as Blue Label) is a higher proof traditional British Naval rum, produced using the blending recipe from the Admiralty. Well loved, it picked up a Trophy at the International Spirits Challenge 2016.
The nose is full of dried fruits, dates, prunes, slightly overripe figs. The palate is very sweet, plenty of dark, syrupy, stewed fruits. An interesting pot still character with a pleasant muddiness. Full-bodied. The finish is incredibly long and dark.

One of the top three rums I've ever tasted, other two being zafra 21 and el dorado 21. Massive toffee and raisins, toasted marshmallow, orange peel, maple syrup, sweet sweet sweet big, but gentle enough to drink neat.
This is the same tasting rum that I drew when in the Royal Navy. As good as it gets, only no "sandy bottoms", just as many time around the buoy for 'Queens' as you like.
First tasted back in 1998 whilst serving in the Royal navy out in the west Indies. Many a good matelo fell foul to it's superior taste on a run ashore. best rum (apart from kraken) i've ever tasted "Splice the main brace" and treat yourself to the Grog.
best rum ever only drink it neat
I've had maybe 20 different rums and this is the strongest one yet but not the tastiest. Wow, it is definitely a must try for any rum lover. It's good but not one that I'd do regularly. Full of flavor and a massive nose! Try at your own risk. An experienced rum drinker's rum, for sure.
