Pusser's 'Gunpowder Proof' Black Label (previously known as Blue Label) is a higher proof traditional British Naval rum, produced using the blending recipe from the Admiralty. Well loved, it picked up a Trophy at the International Spirits Challenge 2016.
The nose is full of dried fruits, dates, prunes, slightly overripe figs. The palate is very sweet, plenty of dark, syrupy, stewed fruits. An interesting pot still character with a pleasant muddiness. Full-bodied. The finish is incredibly long and dark.

A superb rum at an excellent price. It might be 54.5% but its not harsh and the strength simply enhances the flavour
Liquid gold. I have been suffering with a cold. Gunpowder blew it away! BTW - It tastes delicious
Aye, it's not bad....as my old fella said. This means, as a RN AB, joined in 1947,had his first tot in 1950, in Buenos Aires, I believe, this must be good stuff. He's not let me have a sniff of it though, the tight old git ;)....Up Spirits!!!
Absolutely love this. Being an Old Salt, one cannot compare this issue with any other Rum. Would love to order some. Is there a process where this can be done
Great rum, what rum is supposed to be, the best thing the Brits ever made, so I raise my glass of "Nelson's blood" in honor of 300 years of tradition and the salties who brought us this golden nectar!
