If you fancy introducing the deliciousness of chocolate to your cocktails and mixed drinks, but don't quite fancy sticking a chocolate bar in your glass (or something like that), the Project #173 range has you covered with its Chocolate Rum! It features a base of good quality rum, and it's naturally flavoured with tasty chocolate, resulting in a rich, subtly sweet flavour profile. We reckon this should be great for putting a tasty twist on some classic rum cocktails.

Mocha, chocolate-coated peanuts and dates, with a hint of cinnamon.
Enjoyably dark chocolate bitterness, softened by honey, red apple and lemongrass.
Lasting chocolatey richness on the finish.
The chocolate notes here aren't overpoweringly sweet, though they're certainly not shy either.

Gorgeous tipple. Initial hit of sweet rum gives way to a delicious chocolate after taste. Great neat. Great with cola, I just wish they did bigger bottles.
Best Christmas present. Lovely flavour, leaves a delicious chocolate flavour on thr back of your throat. Mix it with a dash of ginger ale for that longer drink. Already going to buy my next bottle.
Project # 173 chocolate flavoured rum smells like the powder you use to make the beverage hot chocolate, in other words absolutely luscious. This rum is near perfect. Well I love chocolate and I love rum, so it comes as no surprise to me that I’m in love with this too. Mind you, I do believe it’s a tad on the strong side, at 42%VOL. If this was 38%VOL let’s say, then I’m sure I’d be scoring this a perfect 10. Drank neat the tastebuds get an instant smooth, velvety hit of the chocolate, followed immediately by a slight jarring sensation, caused by the alcohol after burn. Now maybe if this rum was slightly less potent, it would had a smoother finish? As a long drink, mixed with Coca-Cola, this rum for me improves. It still remains lovely and chocolatey, but becomes more polished and effortless to drink. Maybe a bit too easy to drink! I’ll summarise by saying this. If you love chocolate it would be very remiss of you not to give this rum a go. But a word of warning, don’t be fooled into thinking that because this is a chocolate flavoured rum, it won’t get you drunk. Believe me when I say, Project # 173 definitely packs a bunch!
