Banana, obvs, but clean, ripe banana rather than yucky foam banana. The high, ripe esters (flavour molecules) from the rum blend seamlessly with the banana acting as a supercharger to the base flavour rather than an unwelcome intrusion. A lick of spice on the tail end provides intrigue.
Sweet, but not cloying – banana flavour is intense but doesn't overstep the mark – it's still clear that there is good liquid in the mix. Dark caramelised notes lead into the finish.
Long, with the resurgence of the caramelised goodness, and the high esters continue to play for a decent length of time.
A well-balanced, and considered rum. Epic in a Banana Daiquiri, but equally at home in any number of tiki drinks where it provides a huge lift to the natural esters of the rum.

Project 173 rums represent sheer happiness. At 42% ABV I am a happy camper! This banana rum is very smooth. The bottle is only 50 cl - needs to be bigger. It disappears too quickly!!
Absolutely lethal stuff, it arrived on the morning of the day after we ordered it and was gone by the afternoon of that same day, step carefully round this one guys, its habit forming :D
Yet another class product from Project 173 , cannot wait for the next new flavour to come out , these guys get it right .
