Blackstrap molasses has been used to make this Double Dark rum from Sussex-based Murray & Yeatman, which makes all its rums from start to finish in Sussex, and even has its own dunder pit! Intense notes of molasses, dried fruits, baking spices, and a touch of liquorice can be found here. A great sipper for dark rum fans, this will also hold its own splashed into some cola.
I was genuinely looking forward to trying this rum after reading the description and its UK based as well. However It smells and tastes like rancid dried fruits. Neat, with coke or ginger beer, it just tastes wrong. Not sure how it even made it onto this site!
