A charming bit of glass craftsmanship here - Mauritius Dodo has bottled up its gold rum in this stunning dodo-shaped bottle! Dodos were known to have a blue-gray plumage, but we think a gold rum hue makes this little fellow look very fetching.
Please Note: Unfortunately, the outer box is prone to creasing. We're informed that this should be a short term problem, but please be aware when purchasing this tasty Rum. (Don't worry, the delicious liquid inside or glass shaped Dodo won't be affected!)
Light baking spice, marshmallow vanilla and sparkles of black peppercorn combine.
I don't like rum, so it was with hesitation that I took my first sip. I was hooked. This stuff is delicious!!!! I don't want to serve it to guests, because I want to save it for myself, but all my friends agree that this rum is amazing. Does anyone know if I can refill it with the exact same rum? If yes, how?
As other have said, the bottle stopper doesn't stay in place once the seal is broken (A workaround is to insert some of the necktag string into the neck which creates a tighter seal) The Rum itslef is awful and it's hard to pour it out the bottle. Bottom line - overpriced for what it is so pour out the rum and fill it with something decent.
I bought this for the bottle, not caring is the rum was any good. It's an even more beautiful bottle than I expected, although it's extremely hard to pour without spilling. The reason I decided to write the review though is that the rum is shockingly good. Poured a dram for 4 of us and we all loved it. It tastes like brown sugar. I would purchase this rum again.
Fantastic bottle and great taste very smooth rum
Once you remove the plastic wrapping that keeps the head of the bottle secured to the neck you'll have trouble keeping it attached. I took a single shot when it arrived (I won't review the taste of the alcohol) and then transported the bottle via taxi to a party and the bottle head simply came off in the taxi and the alcohol spilt everywhere.
