A top quality rum from the Nicaraguan producer, Flor de Caña. This is fine sipping rum, with flavours like toffee apple and buttery vanilla. We love it. We also love the fact that the distillery is certified carbon neutral and fair trade, using 100% renewable energy and offsetting any emissions through planting trees – a whopping 50,000 of them a year since 2005!
Hints of buttery toffee and cinnamon on the nose. This develops with notes of black pepper, gingerbread, and allspice.
The palate offers up rich notes of cooked apple and allspice. Hints of nutmeg, honey, and a little toffee brittle.
Toffee and custard on the finish. Long and decadent.
I bought this bottle and my friends loved it! You can taste it just with ice or mixed it with sparkling water or create any cocktail. In my case I just added sparkling water and an orange peel. Delicious! I would buy it again!
Really smooth rum, recommended to have it on a cocktail. Zero sugar content so if you add juices for a cocktail it won't be sweet compared using other rum brands.

Tastes very young on the palate and in (my opinion) lacks any real flavour. Overall an average Rum, which is disappointing, when you look at how much effort they put in the bottle shape and cork. I have not tried any of their other Rums, so just to compare, I will try the 18 Year Rum (sample size).
