A delicious blend of Caribbean rum, El Dorado 15 Year Old marries spirits from the Enmore and Diamond Coffey stills, the Port Mourant double wooden pot still and the Versailles single wooden pot still. All the tasty spirits are blended and then aged in bourbon oak casks before bottling. This was rated the best rum in the world at the International Wine and Spirit Competition four years running, and for good reason.

Phew...this is one sweet rum. Apart from added sugar, if compared to many independently bottled Demeraras it fails to deliver the real taste of Guyana. Quite weak, and obviously made mainly for the American market were sweet stuff is da bomb. I was disappointed.
A tad of sultry, molassas sweetness presents itself, as with any rum, but overall a lovely body and flavor. El Dorado 15 is the reason I started to enjoy rum at all.
A lovely drink but not one I would come back to with the 12 yo still around.
This is the most delicious rum I've ever tasted. You can taste the hints of ginger, dried fruit, honey & oak. I've bought and finished 2 bottles in the last year. It's a shame it's sold out because I would have loved to have bought another bottle today - hence the reason I came on this site ;)
This rum has all the potential of a great Demerara, but with some 40 grams of sugar added per litre, the sweetness destroys its character quite badly, unless you love aspartame. A pity.
