A great 12 year old Demerara rum from El Dorado. This has won golds at the Caribbean Rum Taste Test in London 7 times in the first 10 years! There are nine stills at the distillery, and this is based around coffey still rum, and double wooden pot still rum.
Sweet, toffee, vanilla, spices, oak. Hints of smoke.
Cocoa, caramel, prunes, spices, vanilla.
Long, sublimely smooth, hints of smoke on the tail.

“When I was younger I read a description of a cold, wet child on a pirate ship being offered a sip of rum by a kindly sea-farer and feeling instantly warmed and cheered. This is the rum I imagine him drinking. If you're going for a classic and beautiful rum - go no further. It may not be as cheap as the similarly flavoured, but sweeter, Doorly's XO but this is a more complex, richer and ultimately more satisfying dram, and worth the extra £10 is has on Doorly's - although Doorly's is a fine drink. Ultimately a superb purchase, I just wish a 70cl bottle would last longer.”

The best rum iv had especially in it's price bracket. Can see why it's a multi award winner.
Excellent sipping rum, very warming and a rich flavour that’s neither too sweet or too bitter. It’s the perfect balance.
This is just fabulous stuff. As soon as you open the bottle the smell is intoxicating and delicious. So smooth and easy to sip on. All kinds of deep caramel stuff going on.
Well this went down a treat even with some of our ladies whom are not normally rum drinkers. Very smooth and leaves a good taste but it harsh on the way down. Can't wait to try the rest of the range.
Beautifully smooth! Rich and deep flavours. Lovely over ice and equally enjoyable as a double with a splash of cola.
