The awesome 12 Year Old Barbados rum from Doorly's, distilled at Foursquare! Over a decade of ageing has done this rich tipple rather well, as it's full of chewy toffee, tobacco and tropical fruit notes. This edition has been bottled at the slightly higher strength of 43% ABV.
Caramelised pineapple, candied orange and cooked banana, with dry oak and a pinch of tobacco.
I love a drop of 4SQ and the Doorly's 12 along with the XO are fantastic examples, if it wasn't for the ECS releases then the 12 would be getting 5 Stars with the XO not far behind, both excellent VFM.... Enjoy! Very smooth and rich with all the tasting notes I have come to associate with 4SQ rums...
A very easy going dram. Will work neat but slides away very well with a drop of water. It’s smooth, not too sweet and something to look forward too after a hard shift at the coal face.
Very smooth on the finish after a wee kick on the tongue to start. I enjoyed neat while the better half halved it with apple juice. Worth every penny.
