Distilled at Dictador in 2008, this rum spent 14 years maturing, starting with a stay in American oak and finishing off in a fino sherry cask. It was selected for bottling by master blender Hernan Parra, and its packed with layers of woody spice, oily oak, and stewed dark fruits.
Honeycomb with notes of vanilla. Sandalwood, oud and palo santo wood come in, followed by fruity notes of blood orange and fig.
A huge and bold palate of blackcurrant, blackberry, cherry and vanilla, backed with cinnamon and oak spices. Really fruity and oily.
The black fruits are long and lingering. Delicious.
